Lubbock Trip

Jon and I went to Lubbock last weekend to attend my Big Sis's wedding! It was such a fun weekend hanging out with my sorority sisters and just being back where Jon and I spent 4 years of our lives. It was nice to go back to where it all started. Lubbock, although small, really is a great place, and maybe I'm just biased because the best thing in my life came from that city....but it is a great city and fun place to have had my college years. I can't wait to let my kiddos visit Texas Tech and Lubbock..I hope they choose to go there! Hehe.

Gamma Alpha Omega now and forever.

Feliz Cumpleanos Kristen!

We celebrated Kristen's birthday at her parent's place where we ate bbq, drank cold beers, hung out in the pool, and just really enjoyed each other's company. Jon and I love hanging out with Kristen and Joel and Kristen's parents are always so sweet and loving. They are such an awesome family! I wish we could hang out with them more, it just seems Jon and I are always out of town for something....eh the busy life we weave...haha.
Happy B-Day K!!

Happy 27+1!!

Thirsty Thursday

Just a few pictures of a Thursday night Girl's Night after work at The Red Balloon Cafe. Sharron, Toni, Kristen, Blanca, Jacquie and I all went to TRB after work and had a few drinks and listened to some live music. It was so much fun! I am going to miss working with all of them when I head to grad school.

Holly Lake Ranch

Jon, Myself, and Will (Jon's brother) spent Memorial Day weekend out at their mobil home at Holly Lake Ranch, about 30 miles north of Tyler. This place is so much fun to go to and the boys spent a good amount of time fixing up the place and working on the property. We went fishing every morning and went night fishing a few times. I wasn't that lucky compared to the boys while fishing, but I did catch one fish. Jon caught about 2 or 3 and Will was the fish master for the trip, catching 2 big fish.

The community is such a great place to hang out and I can't wait to bring our kids here during summer to relax and enjoy all of the community amenities. They have so many different activities to do such as: swimming, fishing, tennis, putt-putt, archery, boating, golf, and so much more! I am so glad that the boys now have ownership of this great place because it is going to be really cool for our kids to have summer trips there. I can't wait!

Some pictures of the fishing and the fun!

Family Life Weekend

On May 16-17 Jon and I attended a weekend Christian conference called Family Life Weekend. This conference is geared towards married couples, but also invites engaged couples, or even new couples. This conference teaches ways to communicate, how to balance your marriage between spouse and children, and has great ways to ensure that God is in your marriage and in your family. It was such a great weekend for the both of us and we had a lot fun learning more about one another that we didn't already know. This weekend taught us different ways to communicate with one another, ways to pray together, and really taught us that God needs to be in the center of our lives, our relationship, and in our hearts.

I would definitely suggest any couple planning on getting married, and already married couples to attend a weekend like this. It was such a blessing to us and I feel so prepared for my future marriage. God has so many plans for us all, I can't wait to experience my future with my husband. I pray that God continues to be in my heart and to be in Jon's heart, I ask that he be a constant presence in our relationship and to be a guiding step in our decisions as a partnership.

Here are some pictures from the weekend
