This past weekend

Frank, Janet, and Jon at the Houston Zoo last summer

So, Jonathan received a call from his mother Friday morning saying that she had to take Frank(jon's dad) to the hospital because he was having pain in his lower back. He had recently had a sonogram to view his gall bladder on Thursday. Friday Janet (jon's mom) took Frank to the hospital because he was in so much pain, the results showed that he had 2 gall stones and his gall bladder was extremely inflamed. So Jon and I went up to Dallas to visit him; we got in around 10:30 Friday night and went to visit Frank for just a little while. He was wiped out. The doctors told him that he would have to stay in the hospital for the weekend and that they probably couldn't do the surgery till Sunday or Monday. Saturday around noon we found out that Frank was going into surgery in an hour. So we all went up to hospital, spent time with him before his surgery and patiently waited for him to come out. During the wait we watched the television and the news; the weather was really bad and their were tornado watches, thunderstorm warnings all over the Dallas area. Valley Ranch pratice bubble collapses!! : News Flash! We saw that the Cowboys practice bubble had collapses and we later found out from hospital personnel that some of the victims were to come to RHD, where we were.

Jon's father is out of surgery and actually came home today (Tuesday). The doctor informed us that surgery went well and that it was a very good thing they did the surgery when they did it. His gall bladder could have become even more infected and could have spread to the liver. Their were actually 3 stones removed.

Overall, ,it was a blessed weekend. Jon's father seems to be doing okay. I just pray that God continues to be with him during this healing process and will be with Janet, as they both need to change certain things in their lives to be sure that they are both healthy. I love them both and I'm so excited to be joining their family. I pray that they just continue to be open to becoming healthy and loving one another.
